Exhibition on the 3D Mapping of Lesvos Geotopes at the University of the Aegean

An original exhibition opens its doors tomorrow 13/06 at the Cartography and Geoinformatics Laboratory of the Department of Geography of the University of the Aegean, in Mytilene. The exhibition is entitled “3D Mapping of the Lesvos Geopark”, refers to the 3D mapping of the geotopes of Lesvos and gives special emphasis on modern geo-visualizations using printed and web-based maps as well as Virtual (VR) and Augmented (AR) Reality techniques.

The exhibition will run until Friday 30 June, with the prospect of reopening next October, has free admission. A 60-minute tour is addressed to the public and schools (upon request and for students over 10 years old). The maximum number of participants in the guided tours is 20 for the public and 30 for schools.
